“National means cum merit Scholarship Scheme-2022"
National Means Come Merit Scholarship (N.M.M.S) scheme for students studying in class 8 with the aim of enabling bright students from poor economic status in the state to complete their studies up to class-12 and to reduce the drop-out rate in secondary and higher secondary schools from the Ministry of Education, Government of India. has been implemented. The examination is conducted by the State Examination Board, Gandhinagar to select the beneficiary students.
The application forms for this examination have to be filled online at the website www.sebexam.org from 11/10/2022 to 05/11/2022.
Scholarship Amount and Payment Rules
1000 articles per month per year to the meritorious students in the fixed quota after the examination. 12000/ will be available for scholarship to eligible students for four years.
Payment of the scholarship amount will be made directly to the bank account of the beneficiary students by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi after the eligible students make a fresh and renewal application on International Scholarship Road and the application is verified by the Nodal Officer of the concerned school and concerned district on the Nation Scheme Final as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Education. will be deposited.
Scholarships are available as per the guidelines of the National Scholarship Portal. If someone has obtained the scholarship by submitting the document in a wrong way, then he will be held responsible.
Only the examination is conducted by the State Examination Board. The State Examination Board will not be responsible for the scholarship.
Eligibility of the student
Students studying in Government Primary Schools, Local Body Schools (District Panchayat Mahanagarpalika/Municipality School) and Granted Primary Schools in the current academic year will be able to take the N.M.M,S exam. General Category and O.B.C. Category student should have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in class-7. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) student.
Must have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in class-7.
Students of Private Schools (Private Schools/Self Finance Schools), Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and residential schools run by Central/State Government Institutions where accommodation, meals and study facilities are provided will not be eligible to fill the application form in this examination.
Income Limit
The annual income of the candidate's guardian should not be more than 3,50,000/ as determined for NMMS examination. An attested copy of the annual income statement of the parent must be attached with the application form of the student (the copy of the official authorized by the government must be attached).
Qualifying Marks
General and O.B.C. Category students have to secure 40% marks in aggregate in both sections and Sc. And ST. Category students have to secure 3% marks in aggregate in both sections.
Among the students who have secured the qualifying marks, only the meritorious students will be eligible for the scholarship as per the district-wise-category-wise fixed quota.
Test Structure
- The medium of examination will be English as well as Gujarati. The medium chosen by the student will be given the question of the medium.
- This test will be of Multiple Choice Question MCQ Based format.
- Each question will carry one mark.
Syllabus
- 90 questions of MAT Mental Aptitude Test will be of verbal and non-verbal logical reasoning. These questions will include Analogy, Classification, Numerical Series, Pattern Perception, Hidden Figure etc. * The 90 questions of SAT Academic Aptitude Test will cover Maths, Science and Social Science subjects of Class-7 and Class-8.
- For class-7 there will be the syllabus of the previous academic year. The syllabus for the first semester of the current academic year for Class-8 will be the same.
